What are the new Childhood Budgets in the Ontario Autism Program?

The Ontario government has recently introduced Childhood Budgets for children with autism and their families. Childhood Budgets are available for all children with a diagnosis of autism up to age 18. Childhood Budgets provide families with direct funding so they can access a broader range of eligible services that they believe are most helpful for their child and family from the providers of their choice.

Family Caregiver Capacity Building & Training

Technology Aides & Travel

The total amount of the Childhood Budget will depend on how long your child is in the program. Children under the age of six are eligible to receive $20,000 annually in direct funding, while those six and over are eligible to receive $5,000 annually.
